Canary Wharf - installed

Images of the piece installed on the lower concourse at Canary Wharf.

The work is now on show till the last week of October, on the route to the Jubilee line from Waitrose.

If you are passing, take a look.

A New Year, a New Herd

Last weekend, we installed 'Chasing Shadows' in Canary Wharf. The gallery runs along the walkway between the Jubileee Line and the canary Wharf retail mall - a great location with thousands of people walking through every day. The space itself is very long and narrow - a good thing we are both quite skinny!

Here's Peter hanging the trees.

And below: Eleanor drawing some of the deer onto the wall with chalk.

We will upload images of the finished piece soon, along with some film.

A Change in the Season

On the day that we left Kaunas, the clocks changed, and we felt that the city was slipping from autumn into winter - from the glorious golden colours...to the wonderfully melancholic dusky early winter hues...

For me, this image summarizes the project - the feel of the birch trees, caught and preserved behind glass, with a view glimpsed beyond. Of course, to really experience the work, you have to stand in the space, and watch the shadows flit and flicker...

Blinking in the daylight

Peter has uploaded lots of dramatic images from the opening night of 'Chasing Shadows', with all the dark mystery and drama of the piece. Now I am adding a couple of much more prosaic bright lit ones, just to add a sense of views through the birch trees to the herd beyond.
